On premise and cloud Call Center technology is becoming are two different approaches to the same overall solution.  In gerneal cloud based solutions are gaining over on premise solutions in a large part because of the benefit of scaleability. With an economy that is not bouyant as well as the normal seasonal based changes in call center activity a Cloud based solution is becoming more and more attractive.

The downside are often misconceptions based upon anticuated legacy systems that never worked well.
