Alfredo González Quintana, Product Marketing Director of Presence Technology, the global CTI software company specializing in Contact Center performance optimization, has analyzed various technology tools purchasing models to help reduce platform costs.
Alfredo González led the third edition of 'Energy for your processes' working breakfasts, organized by Presence Technology in collaboration with the Spanish Association of Experts in Contact Centers (AEECC), which was attended by major players in the Contact Center sector. In his presentation, Alfredo González reviewed purchasing models and the various user alternatives currently available on the market, their advantages and disadvantages and presented an analysis of the costs for Contact Centers.
González considers that the most important factor in choosing the best software model is to take into account the environment and the funds available in each case.
Cash purchasing of software is the better option if a single payment can be made and a limited number of licenses is required for an unlimited period of time. If cash is not available or a single investment cannot be made, it is better to make staged payments.
González recommends software rental when a number of licenses is required to cover a particular need. This is the case of a Contact Center, with its own technological infrastructure that requires to cover a growth peak over the space of a few months. In the event that a Contact Center has its own technological infrastructure and a highly variable software usage profile each month, a pay as you go regime is recommended. "To make an analogy with the world of transportation, pay as you go software would be like renting a car and paying for kilometers traveled", according to Alfredo González. He also mentioned the Software as a Service (SaaS) model as a solution to be taken into account, as depending on the particular situation of each business, this option could offer greater cost savings, flexibility and simplified technology infrastructure, enabling organizations to focus on their Core Business.
During his presentation, González illustrated his argument with practical case studies, analyzing which tool is the most advantageous for a given situation. |
