By way of its Private Equity Division, the majority of shares in Presence Technology are held by Valora Corporation.
Valora Corporation commenced its operations in 1998 with headquarters in Barcelona. Its current market capitalization is 180 million dollars, distributed between its property, finance, private equity divisions, and a foundation.
The President of Valora, Mr Albert Olle, besides holding positions of responsibility within the company, is a member of Barcelona's Chamber of Commerce and of the Board of Directors of the bank La Caixa.
Valora Private Equity Division - Two Types of Investments:
* Financial Investments: co-investing with Mercapital and Vessey in funds of more than 600 million euros. * Strategic Investments: companies where Valora is a majority shareholder (as in the case of Presence Technology) or with benchmark partners from the financial sector, such as La Caixa.Fundación Corporación Valora: The foundation contributes actively and financially to reducing poverty, hunger, marginalization, and social injustice in disadvantaged populations of the world. It does this in the form of cooperation agreements with different NGOs (Fundacion Vicente Ferrer, Caritas, Intermon Oxfam, Unicef, Medicos Sin Fronteras, and World Vision…), or with projects of its own to improve living conditions for certain groups in countries where Valora operates.
Real Estate Division: This division owns a total of 20 properties, which it rents to major business groups such as El Corte Ingles, Grupo Carrefour, and Caprabo; furthermore, the division is involved in significant property projects in Spain and abroad.
